I can't even imagine how the White Mage is managing to cheat. The most I see is people purposely feeding to other teams, but that only aids in losing and not winning.
I didn't want to state specifically because I've heard they had out bans for things like that on this forum, even if you're talking about other people doing it. But he's definitely cheating lol
I'm only aware of name dropping being a thing. I'd actually be curious to know what this cheating is so I can keep an eye out. Let alone, I'm sure Square would like to know what's going on when it comes to unfair advantages.
It was a Lalafell WHM using a speed hack. He would constantly run over to enemy teams and spam Holy and then run away. Usually he'd die in the process though lol.
This speed hack I've seen more than once however.
....Stupid question, but I feel like I have to ask anyway...You sure he wasn't just sprinting..? >.>
To be honest, it is very hard to tell what is cheating or simply just totally bugged.
People got immense lags and profit from it. I got no lag, which pretty much means, I am very easy to interrupt (if you can attack me and so on). Someone with huge delay could be simply totally immun to interrupts. At the beginning of FF14 2.0, when the lag especially in europe was immense, you could cast some spells (even Cure 1) while moving. And there are ways you can provoke such delay...
It's hard to tell, anyway, it's annoying.
Other Cheats or Bugs or whatever:
-I often enough got the problem, that I got no DR. 7s sleep. 7s sleep. 7s sleep. Yay...
-People like to be immun to some things - but without any message. Last game I used an instant holy inside a whole group. They were all directly around me, did not move away, they just did not get hit. No damage, no stun, no stun resist.
-Propbably another lag problem, but when you knock someone in one direction and he simply does not move at all (without immunity) or in the completely different direction.
Such things. As said, it's often enough obvious, that there is something very wrong, but of course it's hard to tell, if the player or the game is "cheating".

All of these also sounds like lag. more players = more potential lag....

I can confirm this. I too have seen people who manage to run faster than me on a Chocobo, far faster. I've seen them in PVP use both speed and position hacks of late. It's killing my desire to game... I may go back to single player stuff. =(I have other people that have seen what I had seen lol. Trust me I made sure to check whether he was sprinting or not before hand. He definitely wasn't. And like I said, this isn't the first time I've seen this speed hack. I've seen other players running alongside their teammates on chocobos at the same speed or faster
I'd ask if you could PM me his/her name so I could keep a look out and record any fishy behavior- but at first glance the forums seem to lack a PM function. Bummer.
