According to their logic good news brd no more need to play songs. You are dps. Who cares if everyone runs out of mana. I get that you are saying dps as healer is optional but you need to put way more context. So any new player understands that you are playing less than your best if you do this.
That's not the same thing at all. I gave examples to make my point, but I suppose it was your choice not to read them. Adire covered everything I could have said beyond that.

Like I said before, I agree there's a problem if someone is flat out being lazy. That's why I wasn't limiting my argument to just WoD (but I suppose it's normal to do that when the thread is about something that took place in WoD).

To give another non-WoD example: I have had several dungeons where a WHM was not experienced enough or comfortable with using holy during huge speedrun pulls, and someone in the party harassed them for not doing it to speed up the dungeon. Not everyone is comfortable with doing that for a variety of reasons. Lack of experience, lack of coordination, tunnel vision problems. It took me some practice to be able to handle using holy on huge pulls comfortably, and I take a lot of things into consideration before I do it--Tank gear, tank skill, dps gear and skill, my current MP, how fast things are dying. It didn't take me long to figure it all out, but not everyone has the same gaming background. Some healers can't even keep the tank alive without using holy.

I can't stand when someone harasses a player for not feeling comfortable playing that way, and I will continue to defend them here and in parties regardless of the knee-jerk reactions I receive.
