No, I should have been more clear. Not necessarily you, since your story tells otherwise, but if I see someone at the start of a duty as a class I'm going to assume they're a slacker and dont mind being carried. Someone playing without their stone may well go on to prove they're skilled enough that it doesn't matter much (such as you did apparently), but general experience has shown me that 9 times out of 10, someone on a class in a place like WoD will be about as useful as bifocals on a blind man.
