Your derpiest noob moments

Despite it being frustrating to lose fights repeatedly due to having people who are new in them, we were still all noobs at one point.

I'd like to make this thread about you sharing your noob moments or just really derpy moments in game that you personally did (not seen others do).

When I was only level 38 on my first class, all my gear was broken and I had not developed a habit of checking my gear repair levels so I went into a dungeon as a healer with no gear. Suffice to say I had to leave cuz my heals were too crappy to keep anyone alive for the first boss but I was actually asking people if they nerfed heals and they were like no and I'm like well why do my heals suck?! LOL then someone pointed out my gear and I was like woooow.

In T10, we wiped at 1% a few seconds after hitting the soft enrage. As we are preparing for the next pull I notice I forgot to turn Fists of Fire on.

In T11 the tanks were tethered, and I was tethered to the dragoon.

TS: "Tethers out, remember to dodge left"
TS: "Nervegas soon, prepare to dodge left"
Me: *centers behind the boss to prepare to dodge*
Boss: *starts nervegas*
Me: *Runs Right*

Honestly this is something I'll still do, so I guess I'm still a noob, but...

1:Que for dungeon.
2:Enter dungeon THEN realise that I've neglected summoning my pet. Swiftcast it.
3:Realise I've got my pet on sic, open pet menu to turn to obey, mid fight.
4:Forget I'm in my pet crossbar, fail to switch back to Standard cross bar. Hit button to dismiss pet by accident.
5:Fail to realise what I've done for a little bit, but not long enough that swiftcast isn't still on cooldown for longer than it would take to summon pet.

Similar stuff happens with me and my FC members. Back when they had the bug with the NIN poisons resetting all the time, he'd forget to turn it on a few times. There's also the random occasion he'll switch jobs, we'll be in T13 and everyone is like "man, DPS is slightly off.."

Or when I'm tanking Bahamut and absolutely getting destroyed for some reason. Then the WAR takes aggro from me, and I suddenly realized I just job changed and didn't have Shield Oath.

Mine was in T5, i was Brd. it was the millionth time or so where i did T5. Time for Divebombs, everyone´s down in the Pit. Dodge 1,2,3. okay Snake Time. While damaging the Snakes in the Pit my Brain: "Use Repelling Shot. Trust me, i know how to dps" My Fingers: "k" *Repelling right in the wall*, of course. Brain: "lol"

I did an upgraded version of this, I repelled into the T9 death wall while tanking the blue golem. Good job brain!

I started FF as my first MMO and as a WHM. I tried to be a cool mage and attack all the things, even before the tank since I didnt know what tank and aggro meant.

Using tank LB on the boss and wondering why I am not seeing the awesome damage it does and why is everyone angry xD Took me quite a few dungeons to figure it out.

Charging at anything as a tank with shield oath off, good times xD And healing in cleric stance for like 5 minutes before realizing.

Tanking a boss in t8 with odin weapon rather than what I glamoured it on. Wondering why is everyone dying so much.

Chilling next to tanks today for no reason as a healer in ramuh HM, eating that one blast that kills you in one hit xD

Running in t7 with shriek on behind renauds without waiting for voice to go off, even though I know better. Watching in shame as everyone dies D:

Forgetting you cant dodge while doing a LB and dying a true dragoon death without the LB even hitting but using up itself anyway.

I have more, the derp is strong with this one.
