I believe binding gil to account will be the easiest and best way to deal with gil selling advertisements that plague this game.

So I'd like to suggest making gil untradable between players using trade, and the moogle mail service in game. The only way gil should be able to exchange hands is by way of the market board.

That won't stop them, and that will only hurt the player who plays it the right way. They got a similar system in Black Desert and it's a turn off.
What of Sharing money with friends who needs it?, or the FC who needs tons of money to buy the house plot or house and next airships.

SE has to start hiring more people to ban the bots. It's not the players who needs to be punished.

We need to ask, why are people buying gil?

Is it because things are too costly?
Is it because people can't do dungeons so they buy runs to get their gear?
Is it to get a plot and a FC house?
To get expensive things on the board?

binding gils to acount = your best friend comes along and needs gils for his basic stuff. cant give him any help your cash is locked in your wallet.
as above: your fc needs gils to buy a fc house? cant give em your cash is locked in your wallet.
i stated a few tiems what to do and it seems that every time the solution is ignored:
1- add a 15-35 days timer before you can erase a character
2- someone mentionned adding a report gold digger option add it and makeit so it send a screenshot of the tells shoutyel say message for advertisement of gold digging.
3- considering #1-2 were applyed DONT ban the character its a waste , just like trying to stapple a pierced water balloon(SP?) BAN the credit card tied to the account AND the account! asking for your credit card company for a new card every two weeks should get them to raise an eye brow and a ff14 ARR box costs 35$ so it will get costy.
4- if 1 to 3 were applyed we shoudl see an INCREDIBLE reduction in gold digger activities and if nothing changes it means SE wont do anything that could prevent their game from becoming the next maplestory and that they are willingly using rmt to make more money off your back

drastic times calls for drastic measures.
