Heavensward (Or even ARR in general) recognize race changes.

I wouldnt know since I have never used a fantasia, but wouldnt it also be interesting if certain NPCs recognized that you changed your race, or even clan.

I'm a lalafell, and I plan to change to Au'ra when Heavensward hits. Seeing as I have done everything as a lalafell in ARR, wouldnt it be awesome if certain NPCs from the ARR didnt recognize you because of your new race starting out? Yes, this might mean that this touch of immersion will cost money to some (due to CE bonus. Veteran Reward or Cash Shop), but it would be interesting. Like changing your identity (somewhat) to hide away from certain forces.

This wont make or break my decision to change, just food for thought.

I've never fantasia'd myself, but I'm certain that it more than likely will. It probably just pulls character data when you initiate with the NPC and see that you're categorized as Au Ra, Name, gender, etc. The programming (if it's collecting data correctly) doesn't care what you were - only what the info says (what you are) at time of interaction.

I'd love to see a reaction like Kayda described. "Hey.... did you get a new haircut?" *meanwhile, complete 100% changes of every detail...*

no in the minds of the NPC's you have always been the race you are so if you went from lalafel to roe they would think you have always been a roe, but in RP sense they should notice something but can't quite understand what is different from you

I totally understand what you're getting at there but all I can think is "hmm...I can't figure out what's different about you...*stares at super buff towering roe where yesterday there was a 2 foot tall noodle-arm lalafell*...nope, no clue. Is it the hair?"
