i havent seen party search function used since beta + you shout in ul'dah for approx 8 hours or get a ls and beg people.
Mew!
I've had a lot of luck shouting in Ul'dah, haven't had to wait longer than 20-30 min when I've made parties at peak times. There's still a nice amount of people interested with people returning/starting new.
Just make sure that everyone has the prerequisites done (Imperial devices accepted, and if you aren't doing Gridania's version, talking to a NPC in the Lancer's Guild).

At risk of repeating the same ol same ol...
Find a good linkshell. If you can join a group of helpful players, then it should be easy enough getting a 4man party together. ^^
Either that, or shout in Uldah
Just hang out by the entrance, prob get an invite in 5-10mins.
Shout at Ul'dah works wonder, make sure you state what level range. Alot of people used totorak alot from r25-r35 as form of SPing .
That;s quite weird... look for a group in uldah for a pty in Gri.... SE really needs to do something with that search tool, plus it is awfully over comoplicated.
They should make something similar to WOW and keep it simple, chose the reason for the pty (dungeon, sp, etc) and then chose your role...recruit!
Got to try it this weekend for the first time and i must yes it's a pretty cool dungeon. SE sure did a good job on that one, im glad. I was on my GLD, with a ARC, a CONJ and a THU.... all four of us running around the dungeon killing monsters felt like an old school final fantasy game for some reason.. it was very fun. That;s quite weird... look for a group in uldah for a pty in Gri.... Oh yeah like was mentioned, give a SP Range (the lowest level needs to be within 5 levels of the highest one) when you shout and state how many people you have, some people will jump at the chance if the group is close to being complete.
I also wish more used the search tool but people can't be bothered, hopefully it will see more use when they make a tutorial and I'm hoping they add a 1-click seek party function soon.
I got in there the old fashioned way.. writing down a list of people that I heard wanted to do it, shouting in heavily trafficked areas, and the random pickup person standing outside. Pretty lame but better than nothing, as it is a cool dungeon.
