    Mouse can easily get lost in visual spam. Pressing a single key to move it back to the middle where you know it will be sitting makes it easier to find. Another option for this would be a key stroke for a radar effect around it (windows has an option for this, not sure if it works in game though).

    To note: I'm assuming this is the case of the OP. I can't think of any other reason you'd want to snap the mouse to the middle of the screen except to find it faster.
