Yo, I am looking for an FC as well, and I was just wondering how that works. Do I have to add people in the game and then mail them, or do people usually add me and work off that?

The search options include size of FC and interests. Find a few you like and ping their leaders in game using the player search feature to see if you think their FC is a good fit or not. Happy hunting!
