A certain man had his arm cut off...
I would like to place my prediction... Since guns are a thing in the expansion...
A certain armless man may inherit an ancestors special weapon...
Just calling it out here for my own reference...

Sssh! Don't go giving SE any ideas else we really will get Sephiroth in-game!
I know Magis has a running theory based on Yoshida saying the Dark Knight was partially inspired by Berserk that Raubahn will become a DRK and have his arm replaced with magitek.

While Cid can work some magitek wonders, I don't think they've advanced to cybernetic prostheses quite yet...
Maybe allagan tech ?
The fact that guns are in the game with the expansion makes me think he'll be obtaining some type of gun on his arm. Not a full on machine gun but other types are quite possible.
The Dark Knight theory sounds possible as well. Not so sure about a cybernetic arm though.
Raubahn's a GLA by training, he wouldn't know how to wield a gun (besides, Ul'dah doesn't even use firearms, that's a Limsan weapon). More likely it's just going to be like how Kreia fought in Knights of the Old Republic II after she lost her hand early on in the game - she just fought with her remaining hand one-handed style.
I guess it also means Raubahn would have to sacrifice Tizona for a much more lighter sword as those things he has are huge, cumbersome and unwieldy.
why not something to the stereotypical pirate hook arm? Instead of a hook it'll be a sword?
I don't think it'll be magitek, but I believe it'll be closer to ul'dah's automaton technology at most
His arm was removed, his city was overthrown, the person he cared about most was murdered by somebody he thought a long time friend, nearly everybody he trusted betrayed him, and he was thrown in jail. I don't think you can even consider any 'GLA' logic behind it. And you can learn how to use a gun. Just like how our character can learn how to do multiple fighting styles/professions.Raubahn's a GLA by training, he wouldn't know how to wield a gun (besides, Ul'dah doesn't even use firearms, that's a Limsan weapon). I personally say he'd be willing to use whatever he could to get stronger to get his revenge. AKA a gun. Or become a Dark Knight... Or both.
It wouldn't surprise me if Raubahn turns evil eventually. And part of the story is to redeem him.
I'd go evil if I was in his position. Replace my missing arm with a gun and give me a badass Dark Knight 2-handed blade that I can wield with 1 hand due to oversized muscles.
Psh. Given the existence of Cid and Magitek in this game, as soon as I saw his arm come off I deduced that the odds are exceedingly slim that he WON'T wind up with a crazy awesome cyborg arm at some point. It's pretty much inevitable.![]()
