Anyone else Playing on Linux?

Unfortunately I doubt they ever will because Linux takes up an even smaller market percentage than Mac OS at this point. The average home consumer is using either Windows or Mac, primarily Windows, and home consumers are the target market for this game.

I had someone else say something very similar to me. However I cannot help but hope that Linux takes off at some point.

It would be great if they made a Linux Friendly version of FFXIV or any PC game really.

We'll see if Steam can pave a new way for Linux and Games.

And another problem is that you have several different versions of Linux. Some of them based on Debian, some on Red Hat etc. etc. So what may work for one, doesn't necessarily mean it works for all. I've been running Linux Mint on my small laptop for years now. It's a lovely system for everything, except for games. I fear that's the only thing Linux will never be good at.
