    Rage Quit Ettiquite

    Hi everyone,
For those of you whom like to rage quit (nothing wrong with that) I have a few Dos and Don'ts.

    Do:
    - Leave. Sooner rather than later. The comitted people in the party don't need you lingering around giving a half-assed effort.
    - Attempt to find a replacement. It takes almost no effort to announce to your FC/Favorite linkshell: "Hey, is there any other [class] who's willing to put up with these retards in my place?"
    - (EDIT) Ask to be kicked. Politely.*

    Don't:
    - Troll. Be an adult, leave, and take the 30 minute penalty. (EDIT) This includes disconnecting in hopes of a kick.
    - Go off on a profanity fuled tirade. We've seen four-letter insults before. You are just diming yourself out as the douchenozzle you claim other people to be.
    - Spam requests to abandon in chat. Your motion got rejected; be an adult, leave, and take the 30 minute penalty.
    - Demand people "watch the vid." Some folks want to experience the game first-hand, not from Mr. Happy.
    - (EDIT) *Be a dick when the party doesn't kick you. Be an adult, leave and take the 30 minute penalty.

I've "rage-quitted" before due to multiple wipes with no first timers and yet no one wanted to accept the vote to abandon. I just left the duty, simple as that.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I've been in a group with just 1 wipe and some dude spammed the Vote to Dismiss on multiple party members (all of which were rejected), then proceeded to jump to the boss until he was vote-kicked.

Man up and take the 30 minute penalty if it's really that bad.

I only rage quit on solo stuff.... >.>;;; I don't know which is dumber. Letting the game get to me or strangers so I try to keep it to a minimum. If someone in pt is too much to handle and is causing hell for everyone in it, I'll probably be the one to leave. 30 min is nothing.... Lose 30 min but save my nerves. Have a coffee, look at fanart, make silly screenies and it's back up.

Why deal with penalty when you can:

Then go get a drink or bathroom and then requeue again for as many times as you want with absolutely no repercussion.

Queuing up for Ultima HM has taught me how to properly rage quit. The sheer number of tanks that don't understand how Provoke works or using Tank Limit Break during 3rd Aetheric Boom (counting to 3 is soo hard!) This usually all transpires after I explain to tanks upon entering the trial before the first pull. When people don't listen I will happily force a vote kick or abandon. I'm not going to suffer a penalty because some idiot refuses to listen to strategy or ask questions if they don't understand something I explained.

There's etiquette to rage quitting? O_o

But yeah, I mostly agree, especially the trolling part. I once had a run in WoD where if we wiped one or two times on a boss, one of the other Alliance tanks got so butt hurt about it that he would aggro the boss before everyone else got there and would drag the boss out of the boss room, repeatedly, trying to kill other party members with the boss's AoE blasts. This happened at the 5 Headed Dragon for me, and a FC member of mine for that matter. If you're going to suddenly troll the entire rest of the party simply because things didn't go your way after the first wipe, please just leave. Or get vote kicked of course, which is more likely to happen if that said player is making a deliberate effort to troll the party/alliance. Spamming "Vote Abandon" during raids annoys me too, especially if said person is the only one who wants to abandon.

EDIT: The only part I wouldn't really consider doing is asking my own FC members to step into a group that's horrible/awful. If I'm in that type of group myself, I'd rather just show myself out the door instead and eat the 30 minute penalty. (Which I actually have yet to do) I usually stick around until the end anyway, but depending on how bad things are going...
(Could just be the way it's worded under the "Do" section, but still)

Personally, I dislike being the first one to "rage quit." I'll give my best for subsequent tries but if the party is that bad, the moment someone leaves first I'm bailing too.
