PS4 transfer

Hello.

So my girlfriend is wanting to move to the PS4 due to her laptop not being able to handle the game too well, and come heavenward its just gonna burn out.

i have a few questions which support aren't really making too clear for me.

1. We made a new SE account to do a free trial on the ps4 to test the game, is there a way to untie that free trial account from her main PSN account to then tie her PC account to it.

2. How would we go about doing this license transfer? i know it involves buying a new copy of the game, would we put the code in the mog station or?

3. Any other information you can give would be appreciated

1. I'm not sure, but I think there might be. Have you tried googling it?

3. All character info will be transferred to the PS4 version, however you're going to have to reset your gear sets, system and character configs, your chat tabs, and of course your skill sets. All of those will be completely lost upon upgrading. Luckily everything tied to your character you keep, including what you're currently wearing.

I think there is no option to unlink a PSN account from the SE account. She would need to create a new PSN account for FF XIV. It is also not a big hassle to switch between different PSN accounts on the PS4.
Or ask the support from Sony and SE.

Call SE to see if they can unlink the account from her PSN.

If they can then you just need to add the PS4 code to her account through the PS4.

If they can't just make another PS4 account, and attach the game there. It's a small hassle, but not totally bad. I have to do this because we didn't know it linked to PSN account, and my brother's FFXIV is on my PSN lol.

When my bf went from pc to ps4 he just created his psn, and through booting up FFXIV it asked him a few questions. Like if he wanted to link it to an existing account SE account. Which you want to do if you want to play on the same character. Just followed the prompts from there including putting the new game key into the system.

No. That's only true for the PC version of the game. For PS3 and PS4 versions, you get a Sony Playstation Network code that you enter at the PSN Store.

Normally, this is followed by being prompted to select or create an SE account the first time you start the game, but I'm not sure how the pre-existing trial account impacts that part. Should probably check first with SE customer service about whether unlinking the PSN and SE accounts will work.

If she can't unlink the trial account from her main PSN account, she could simply create another PSN sub-account, register and play the game through that one. It's a little more awkward since she'd need to make sure she's logged into the new PSN account when starting FFXIV but her original one when starting other games she already has on that one, but it's a possible workaround. (Hopefully, SE can unlink her trial account so the workaround isn't needed.)

we contacted SE and they said theyre sending it to higher people to investigate.

whenever we try to open the game on a different PSN it just fails to boot :/
