I almost spit my drink out.
9k for a prism is insane, let alone 13k. Perhaps he knows this, and doesn't feel bad shaving the profits a bit.

Now that you've been sufficiently called on the carpet; your move, rhetorical, flatulent, fustian, gaseous, gassy, grandiloquent, oratorical, orotund, windy, bloated, elevated, florid, flowery, grandiose, highfalutin (also hifalutin), high-flown, high-sounding, inflated, lofty, ornate, pompous, pontifical, pretentious, stilted, tumid, turgid; overdone, verbose, wordy - BOMBASTIC.

Err, Bombast doesn't think the OP is joking. That was a reaction to both values listed by the OP..
Anyway, undercutting has existed since the dawn of time, all you can do is undercut back. You only wanna go low enough to break even. If they go lower than this, do not continue counter-undercutting.

Zodiark low pop server? Surprised it hasn't crashed to 1.5k-2.5k range.
Its much easier to make gil on low population servers, the high prices of items due to low competition is one of the reasons. Even on low pop servers, there are still lots of people with lots gils and there is still a ton of gil in those server so the high prices don't really bother them much (as long as its still affordable). What does bother them is the price relative to other sellers or the "price history" but I won't get too deep in that.
This is why housing "cost a lot" since it represents the gil that the server and the players have. In fact, its actually underrepresenting since SE lowered the prices due to the bitching and whining of players. This is also why there are quite a lot of people who make tons and tons of gils on low pop servers and then transfer to high pop servers, which would had ruined those high pop servers had gil mean anything in this game. Gil is worth very little in this game though.

Hahahaha, harassment!? LOL
Listen here, Prisms' mats cost at MOST 1.5k to make, you're making a profit of 10K+ FOR ONE CRAFT. And prisms do sell quite fast.
You're actually crying because someone got in your market? HARASSMENT? Oh come on! Grow up please, this is a waste of thread. The market board is a free place, if I wanted to sell prisms for 1gil I would and there would be nobody to stop me. Deal with it or change market.
Everything is bearable with music

As Lyzern said, its a free market.. Every crafter has set his prize. I know having undercut hurts, I am a crafter and gatherer.
I abandoned gathering due to the Players' operated bots (you cannot compete against bot generated goods, my time is more worth the gil if I care to undercut).. they are taking over the MB.
As for crafting I seek opportunity when cataloging the MB, I only list on MB what I see is worth crafting and selling. Sometime if I see something is listed for a cheaper price I buy it and resell it. In your case its impossible, because you will not buy those prisms ‘cause they are already expensive (unless you see them cheap and you will do, then I'll say you are a victim of the undercut seller).
I am so jealous you can sell them for 6K gil each, on Server:Faerie the price range for prisms is 2-5K gil for a prism. I only list few prisms if the price gets +5K. Otherwise you’ll end up with the prism for days/weeks without selling it.
That’s what playing market is all about. Best of Luck.
