For anyone having issues like this there is always the old SE account page(not mogstation) as well.. it lists the emails tied to the account and you can easily change them.

Not really a "old" site it just used for different reasons primarily for XI it also where you get your emergency removal key for software token.

I get this error all the time when traveling.

The login system logs your IP address and does a GeoLocation look up. If your login location is far different than before, assuming a different state or different country. The automated account security precautions kick in.
