Add a jukebox feature please!

I made a post about this about a year ago and it never gained much momentum, but here goes for a second time!

It would be really really really cool to have an interface feature where we can choose to override the current BGM with a FFXIV song of our choice. For example, if I would like to listen to the Ninja Storehouse theme in my house, I could click the jukebox button and have that play instead of the house music.

Likewise, if you're tired of listening to answers on repeat while you wipe to turn 13, you could change it up and listen to garuda's theme.

You could even sell us unlockable themes. For example, you could resell previous final fantasy battle themes on the jukebox feature so that we could listen to the final fantasy 7 battle theme instead of the current ff14 battle themes if we wanted to.

It could also become unlockable content. For example, after defeating Garuda Extreme Mode, you will have her theme unlocked in the Juke Box.

Not really. It wouldn't be too difficult to add to a PS3/4 version. since the files are already there, all a jukebox would do is give a different means of accessing them.

Needless to say I support this.

Orchestrion Please Look forward to it!

Q: Can you add a jukebox-like furnishing that allows us to select the music for our Free Company house?

A: Yoshida: I think this kind of item would be a nice addition. Just the other day I was looking over documents for an item named “Orchestrion.” It said you’ll be able to obtain songs in some way and play them whenever you want. After this is implemented we're planning to add new songs for it with each patch.

Soken: If there's a spec document for a jukebox, then we can add it.

Yoshida: We're aiming to implement the Orchestrion in Patch 3.0 or 3.1.

Incidentally, the orchestrion that Yoshi mentioned in that interview is actually an item from FFXI (which changed the BGM for the player's Mog House, FFXI's equivalent of an Inn Room) - all very well, except the music sheets that were needed to change the music were extremely rare/expensive/almost impossible to get. So I'm really hoping Yoshi does not simply repeat the FFXI mistake and make it that the orchestrion in FFXIV is equally difficult to acquire, along with it's tunes.

Also, the orchestrion isn't quite what the OP wants - he doesn't simply want a jukebox to play music in a house, but he wants to literally change zone BGM to something else, specifically music from other FF games. On the one hand this sounds like an excellent idea, but given the fact Soken already stated ages ago that zone BGM can't even changed to a looping track due to how it's been specifically coded to fade in and out depending on the time of day or whereabouts a character is in a zone, this simply won't happen I'm afraid.

I'll eat my Holy Shield if I'm proven wrong though.

At worse they'll probably be about the same as TT cards in terms of rarity, though since it has no side-game of its own it'll probably have a different system (requiring multiple instances of that song playing to "capture" it. Would give players some motivation to get a few clears of t12 and t13 after 3.0 hits.
It's not too complicated if the Orchestrion is an inventory item (though I hope not, I hope it's like minions, mounts, and TT cards and has its own separate thing) and has its own thing that automatically overwrites any and all music files.
I mean don't get met wrong it's still complicated, but plenty of games with similar sound systems to XIV already do this (EQ2 actually has music box items, for example, that are loaded with music from EQ1) so it can be done.
