Having had this problem for a couple of days now and with no help of the several post I have found on the issue,
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...457-409/page26 this thread being the biggest one on the issue, I just cannot seem to solve the connection issue, i tried re-installing it, it gets to the point were it wants to update new patches but cannot since it cannot connect to the server.

I run the game on steam if that is any help what so ever.

Help!
