Still no word on local retailers selling Collectors Edition of Heavensward

As the title states, there is still no word on when it will be sold in local stores. I just checked with Game Stop, and they still don't know anything about it. The community team said that it will be sold at local stores in limited quantities and they would get back to us.
Here is the thing and I'm not trying to be negative, they have had plenty of time to let us know when we can go buy it, at this time I feel like we where just being placated to calm us down here in the forums. While that mostly likely is not the case that is what it feels like to me.
I bought the 1.0 Collectors edition missed out on Realm Reborn collectors, due to I have kids did not have the money right away and the limited supply screwed me (I also wasn't going to pay scalpers $600.00 for it).
I don't want to have to miss out on this one due to miss communication. Why don't I buy it from from the SE store you ask, well said kids got me a gift card from Game Stop for my birthday last December. I have been saving it to buy this, I mean why spend extra money when I don't have to. SE I wanna give you this money, the question is do you want it.

I wouldn't hold your breath, I bet any local stores will only get a couple CEs at most if any. SE wants you to purchase the game at full price off their own store, obviously to net a bigger profit. They're even providing download codes to Physical Edition purchasers in order to ensure they will be able to play on day 1 of launch.

I'm also willing to bet that even if you do get the physical version you'll still have a large download to deal with in the end anyways.

I live in Puerto Rico, and the Game stops in my area are accepting reservations. However, the pre order must be paid in full ($150) and then to wait till release.

The Game stops here in California don't even have it in their systems, and the employee who helped me today checked all the way back with their offices in Texas and no one knows anything. /shrug

Ok GameStop in the US is called EB games here in Australia and New Zealand for legal reasons. The local stores in New Zealand and Australia (I am from New Zealand) are not stocking the CE edition, it's only available on their online sites only, so it won't be on the local stores system. Sometimes on the New Zealand EB Games website, the CE edition will sell out for a while and not be listed online, then a few days later more become available and it will show up again. I ordered my CE online here in New Zealand as my local EB games shop called the buyer in charge, who said the company is keeping the local shops out of it as its in limited supplies. Got a buddy that works for Game Stop, they will only make a few bucks of the sell. Most of it will go to SE. there is a reason why Game Stop pushes used sells so they can make money. there is no real profit in selling new games, nice try though again I do want to give SE my money from this gift card, and SE will get almost all the money on it if they want it.

Gamestop did take pre orders for the collectors edition for a couple days last month in store they only ordered a few copies from SE and sold out of pre orders rather quickly. Since GameStop only bought a few copies from the game from SE you can blame them GS not SE. GS buys the games from SE at that point the game is owned by GS and SE already has the money so in a sense you are giving your money to GS it isn't SEs fault.

GS has more of the standard edition available you can order if you want to use a gift card.

Like you said GS wants to push used games on people to make more money so they don't care about getting a ton of stock on new stuff especially CE which could potentially sit around and then they have to eat the cost because they over ordered. I wanted to buy the MGSV CE from them they sold out of pre orders in 1 hour. Anything CE related and GS won't buy many copies.
