[feedback] PLEASE do more regarding RMT spam

I wasn't sure where else to post this.

I realize I'm likely only adding to the preexisting feedback, but I really wish SE would do more to combat the RMT gil sale spam that goes on in-game. On my server, Ultros, it's starting to get more aggressive than it's ever been, having gone beyond the occasional /tell, they're now /shouting in cities and the wilderness, as well as /telling, as well as constant repeated friend requests that're disruptive and annoying as well, not to mention requiring taking the time to stop, address & delete the request before moving on.

I know there is periodic action taken after maintenance days, but it doesn't seem to be enough - RMT spam only seem to be more frequent and more brazen. In my chatbox right now there are two separate tells from two separate RMT vendors, taking up the whole thing, blowing out anything from anybody I'd actually like to hear from.

Enough is enough!

I'm brand new to the game, and I have to admit it's severely dampening my enthusiasm for it already. It's the worst I've seen in any game.

For the symptoms of RMT, you can set yourself to busy through party panel. That will decline all trades, party and tells.

For the cause, squaresoft is doing it's best. But they are not cooperating.

i wish they implement another statues that blocks rmt and still able to chat with ur friends , i feel bad whenever my friends ask me why i set full time busy and can't chat with them.

Its super annoying with the friend spam invite from rmt this needs to stop honestly its getting annoying. I recall se adding filter @ ffxi it did reduce less spam from rmt.

Getting sick and tired of this myself, and why should I report them if it takes me 3 minutes of my time to report someone, and 1 minute later the next bot spams me again...
/tell is useless now, and I even quit this game before because of this very same thing with over a month worth of gametime left.

This game is awesome, but the spam is retarded. Every single other MMO I played never had this much spam, even the free to play ones. The developers should be ashamed of themselves here and give us the tools to fight spam. Or give Addon support so that some can build their own spam filters for this game.

So Square Enix, if you are wondering how you could get more people to play this game and stay in the game without quitting, fix this gilspam issue first and people might be interested once again in this game. I wouldn't advise you to make any other MMO's before you can solve a simple issue like this. It almost seems that you enjoy having gilspammers and bots in the game because you don't seem to do anything about it!

I'm really getting tired of it as well and my BF and I Might even unsub cause it's just not worth it anymore.
