Chocobo Racing, Spectator and Gambling mode plz.

I think SE dropped the ball on adding an awesome feature for GS, they should implement gambling on races for gsp and a spectator mode to racing. It might actually get more people to race, I'm tired of always seeing AI racers. Obviously they would need to implement a system where you can only bet on like 10 races a day to stop crazy gsp abuse. Thoughts anyone?

yeah, people would find ways to exploit the hell out of it. If they limited betting to higher ranks only to avoid new chocobo scams and such then it might work but then a fc would eventually get groups to race together at higher ranks to cheat anyway.

Still I would love it if they added special player races, a grand prix of sorts, that give out tons of mgp to the best chocobo racers in the land seperated by pedigree/rating, would give incentive to start racing, raising, and breeding them for the grand prize and would give those who already did/are doing more reason to not feel like their chocobos will rot after they get done with them.

i agree with this.. once a week they could have a rank-60,rank-80, rank 100 etc type derbies can enter races mayb 3 times for bigger mgp type rewards even have achievements for winnin it 100 times etc would be fun and gives another boost to mgp farming :3

Apart from exploiting wins/losses, they probably don't want to reveal the NPCs cheating and give players further proof of how the odds are stacked against them, but not the NPCs (mobs attacking, etc).

The spectating I wouldn't mind as I'm quite proud of my chocobo so far and the opportunity to show off would be great. As far as the betting goes, as someone previously mentioned, some countries actually have laws against that kind of thing even with imaginary money in an imaginary world. I don't know anything about npcs cheating though, I've never noticed it, the only thing I ever noticed was their caltrops hurt more than mine, but it's easy enough to stay out of.
