Still no word on local retailers selling Collectors Edition of Heavensward

I bought the 1.0 Collectors edition missed out on Realm Reborn collectors, due to I have kids did not have the money right away and the limited supply screwed me (I also wasn't going to pay scalpers $600.00 for it).

Well a month after the release of the pre-order for heavensward it still in stock on SE site, my guess if it would of sold out would of done so already. Also another person posted that it listed on best buy's site but looks like it too is shipping only and not available for in store pick up so for me be no different then getting directly from SE unless you using the reward zone discount.

Still no sign of the digital CE for PS4 either, unless I've missed an announcement somewhere.

You want to give money to GS not SE that is the issue here.

Got a buddy that works for Game Stop, they will only make a few bucks of the sell. Most of it will go to SE. there is a reason why Game Stop pushes used sells so they can make money. there is no real profit in selling new games, nice try though again I do want to give SE my money from this gift card, and SE will get almost all the money on it if they want it.

Find someone you know that shops at GS and "Sell" them the card for the same amount of cash, then buy from SE's store. It doesn't look like they are actually going to get any copies of the CE.

honestly I've come to the conclusion I may have to go that route, but as customers I don't think we should have to jump through hoops to give our money way lol.

Gamestop did take pre orders for the collectors edition for a couple days last month in store they only ordered a few copies from SE and sold out of pre orders rather quickly. Since GameStop only bought a few copies from the game from SE you can blame them GS not SE. GS buys the games from SE at that point the game is owned by GS and SE already has the money so in a sense you are giving your money to GS it isn't SEs fault.

GS has more of the standard edition available you can order if you want to use a gift card.

Like you said GS wants to push used games on people to make more money so they don't care about getting a ton of stock on new stuff especially CE which could potentially sit around and then they have to eat the cost because they over ordered. I wanted to buy the MGSV CE from them they sold out of pre orders in 1 hour. Anything CE related and GS won't buy many copies.

Except I've been checking with GS since day one, like I said got a buddy that works there it has never been in their system since day one. He checks everyday for me. Like I said he checked with the offices in Texas, and they know nothing. It's not like I'm not doing my research before I come to the forum to raise an issue. I don't know where you live but here in Sacramento CA, it has NOT been made available be it online or in stores since day one.
It was the community team that stated it would be available to "Local" retailers and that they would get back to us, Hence my question to SE as to whats is going on. I can't be any more clear then that. I'm not looking for faults as you say I'm looking for answers to my question it is as simply as that.

Several people on the forum have bought it from there. What you had to do was go to the store and say, can you look in your web-in-store site and pre order me Heavensword CE. It was in their web in store system not website/pos, which is separate from their online public website. Web in store is a website that only they can access, basically they go in a private GS website and order it for you which is totally separate from their normal website/pos reserve system. Tell your buddy it was on web in store not the regular pos which is probably why he didn't see it.

GS often uses web in store for stuff they don't want to sell a lot of. IE Zelda MM 3ds.

But it is too late because they sold out and it was taken off the web in store.

I'm well aware of the in store system he has checked that hasn't come up. He can also see if any has sold, I'm on the phone with him right now it comes up nadda. I can only go by the info I'm given and since he works there I'm more incline to go by what he is telling me. Hence my question to the community that never got back to us on it. People in the forum already bought this its not there anymore because they took it down when they sold out. So if they look now it won't be there. You had like a 1-2 day window to buy it from GS
