Item seeking needs a boost

The one thing I have NOT seen someone complain about the market wards, is really my only issue with it... The broken "item seeking" feature. Right now you can only seek to buy items which you already have, and only in quantities in which you already have them. I find this a bit ridiculous.

Please allow us to 'seek' purchase of items in the same manner in which we search through the wards. Let us choose to seek items, and select the item we seek via a menu of all tradable items.

Now, I can see SE not wanting a comprehensive list of all items in game to be available, but, that being said, that's already available on all kinds of websites like Zam and Pro.

The issue is...why would I want to seek to purchase a piece of gear I already own? If If I have a stack of some mat, why would I seek a new stack before my old one is even close to run out? Most people don't use the seek function because it is broken in this way. Please fix it.

sounds like a reasonable idea to me, although it may be better implemented under a different system, like an auction house style system where crafters can just see what items people want, what they will pay for them, craft them, and deliver them via the ah tool, rather than person to person

It could work just as well with the MW system if they simply allow people to search people who are BUYING. It would also be helpful to be able to search people who are seeking repairs.

I didn't even know anyone actually used item seeking. I don't think i've ever seen someone with it in bazzaar or on their retainer. to be honest i forgot it was part of the game ;x

Just about the only thing it is good for right now is trying to buy crystals or shards. I see it every now and then in a random bazaar.

I wish they would allow you to type into a search bar what you are looking for.

I've tried to harp on this off and on several times. Without 'seek item' working (i.e. buy orders), only the seller part of the market is being represented.

Issues with 'seek item' include :

• Using 2 slots of bazaar space instead of only 1
• Only being able to seek an item you already own (and in quantities you already own)
• Inability to purchase partial quantities (e.g. buying 100 crystals - person can sell you 5 - retainer still seeks 95)
• Not searchable through item search desk

Regardless of AH or MW, without this system working the economy will keep limping along.

These problems make me curious what kind of server issues that they have....is it bad programming, or delicate server structure, or bad design....still waiting for sell history function and type-to-search function
