A-Rank Hunts Need a Poetics Reward Sometime Before Heavensward

I am a fairly active dungeon crawler. I run them 10 to 15 times a week, working on a Zodiac weapon and several weapons in the pre-Zodiac progression. I consistently utilize raids for my weekly and still beyond that. I run to an S-rank hunt whenever it's called out. I even jump into BGs from time to time, but I simply do not have enough time to sit in queues every time I want a significant amount of Poetics. Furthermore, FF is a franchise which prides itself on freedom and diversity. The devs will speak often and passionately that they strive so that players will have many avenues to reach their goals.

Now bear in mind please that currency gear has never been intended to be the dungeon/raid-grind type of gear. I think SE is perhaps forgetting that. Okay, so we don't have to run FCOB to obtain Poetics gear, but we will have to queue in dungeons, preferably as a tank or healer, naturally, in order to get this gear in any effective time frame. Again, it's currency gear, not dungeon gear. There needs to reasonable avenues for people to cap throughout the week if they cannot afford to sit in queues while bearing in mind that FF champions diversity, and you shouldn't have to queue as a tank/healer to accomplish this. Simple solution, add 4-5 poetics to A ranks. As 2.0 comes to a close this isn't an unreasonable request. It's not Dreadwyrm gear, it's currency gear with a soft weekly cap. There are enough facets of this game that shove dungeons down our throats.

I'm pretty sure they took weekly tomes away from A ranks deliberately for good reason. Probably because it allowed people to ignore all content outside of the Hunt, to get BiS items. (Excluding coils, which drop different BiS items).
Now if they were to remove the weekly cap on Poetics already (silly SE, you forgot to do it with 2.55) then maybe it would be reasonable to re-add them to A ranks.
As is, I see 4-5 poetics drop from HM primals or first coils, and I don't think "Man, this is sure helping me reach my weekly quota". I think "Why bother?"

I seem to recall that we'll get another small update to put Echo into FCoB (not sure). Perhaps Poetics weekly limit will be removed then?

We've never had two uncapped currencies at the same time before. I don't know why people expect it now.

Because likewise, we have never had a currency that is capped that gives gear that is either the same level or below level as an uncapped raid.

2.2 and Binding Coil of Bahamut: Mythology became uncapped, BCOB became uncapped
2.4 and Second Coil of Bahamut: Soldiery became uncapped, SCOB became uncapped
2.55 and Final Coil of Bahamut: Poetics stayed capped, FCOB became uncapped.

Logical progression. Mind you, it's not an even-numbered update, so I see why the people who don't want it uncapped say it doesn't make sense, but I think you need to recall how the uncapping of things has usualyl gone hand-in-hand, and that people are eager to work on getting full BiS.

That is true but in each of those patches they added new tomes. No new tomes in 2.55, so no Poe uncap. Don't worry though I'm sure they will uncap Poe when the expansion comes and new tomes are added.

And Poe is really easy to cap. Farming FCoB will cap you within a day. Dungeons/dailies you can cap within 2-3 days. Even as a DPS!

Well the question was moreso why we believed it would be uncapped. I'm outlying one belief as to why it was. If you act like it doesn't make sense, that was moreso what my post was intended for - not for those who can observe it both ways.

Personally, I think it would be silly to wait for 3.0 to uncap poetics. By then, we'll be able to get items much easier that are stronger than them at level 60. If that's the case, what's the point?
