It's a solution so others will somehow get these winning cards, but well, you don't really need them and they really don't take away this MGP grind problem.

GATE's give more MGP now, true, and that's nice, but in comparison to the higher prices, you still need hundreds. Chocobo race gives more MGP, but for many players, even getting a chocobo which can win the R-300 race alone (and to feed this last chocobo alone will cost ~130k MGP) is a grind they don't want to endure. :/ The few I know who still do it are already annoyed and just have reached pedigree 2 or 3.

And I must say: after I got my winner chocobo, I don't care that much about the races, too. Sure, they now give 400 MGP and I win these most of the time, but it's still a grind to get any points. For those ~170k MGP I would have to win 433 races (after those 1500 you need now to reach pedigree 9 rank 50).


IMO the best solution would be:
More prizes. Glamour prizes and much, much higher MGP gain or lower costs. There may still be some special items, which have high costs, to serve the hardcore grinders. Gold Saucer could also be a second source for many other items already in game. They could let you win food for your riding chocobo (and mine is already 20, I don't need it) in Chocobo Square as an extra, or training coupons, so they get some xp extra or a level up (the prices for Thavnarian Onion are at rock bottom anyway). And so on...
