Not even a real tournament. This thing is a joke. A big fat joke.
First place is there, since one hour after server opening.
lol.
(this is shiva btw)

More like a couple hours after. Seriously, how do you get an average of 145/win. I have been refusing to play players all day who are worth less than 105 points before bonus -.-
Even with a ton of alts what would you have to do to attain that kind of score because it doesn't make sense to me unless there is a serious kind of exploit or hack being used. I wish the rules and scoring system were more opaque for fairness. I have a feeling that this thing is really a type "the early bird gets the worm" sort of deal. If you aren't first within the first couple hours, then you won't be able to hit first because i think you get a bonus for beating people in the top 20, 10, 5 and 3 accordingly. 4-5 hours after starting, the top 20 already have max games played and can't be played against, effectively denying anyone else that bonus.
That's not right, Elmer on plus and open has a 100% win rate. Not sharing, figure it out yourself if you want. It took me hours to figure out all his patterns and baits. In the first tourney i had 40/40 just beating elmer but i didn't even make the top 10 because of all the cheaters. I think i placed 17th back then.

There are ways to get a lot of bonus points. The thing is, that it is pretty much near impossible to win with them. Plus would make it easier, so just very hard and not impossible, but still 40 wins? Forget it. Even if you really cheat and the other one loses on purpose, you have to be very careful.

So a couple things, to share what i learned about the point system.
1) Early bird gets the worm, bonus for beating players in top 1, 2, 3 top 10, top 20. This can only be accomplished in the early morning right as the tourney starts. 130+ points for beating a guy who is 1-0 and just on the board.
2) Bonus for rules, different rules have different bonus on them. Plus / Open is always +20.
3) Variance in deck, if the player with a stronger deck beats a player with a weaker deck, their bonus is reduced. So instead of receiving +20, they receive only +10. Meaning to win, you need to play friends or people you trust and add a 3rd rule to only play each other with 1 star cards.
So far I'm first with 40 wins and 126 average per win, I'm tired of plus rule; much math when I'm trying to relax. I'll probably get knocked down, but hopefully I'll stay in the top 3.
P.S. Refuse to play anyone who isn't worth 100 or more points, otherwise you have no chance.

That has to be the biggest problem with the whole tournament. If you aren't the absolute best and can't win/draw the vast majority of games two things will happen.
A) No one will play you since you aren't worth anything. Even with the one time bonus you are still trash.
B) The amount of points you get from a loss is considerably less than the easy wins from an NPC.
Either way, there isn't really an incentive to play against players if you just aren't as skilled as them, and there is no reason for them to play against you. May as well build the easy points against the NPCs and go for the platnium packs.

can not the problem be fixed that when someone that won't battle anymore is added to the turnament bord they can be npc batteled but the higher they are on the bord the harder they are, and lets say they did have like bettwen 30-60 cards or more when they are added and if they get new ones they are not added since the npc data is stored from the last turnament battle. don't eat me for this just trying help and get this problem seen and maybe get fixed not fun with cheaters, if this was in rl they never get get away with this and get their price and probably be banned from entering again >_<
