Gathering your wealth....

Hey all, so has come the time where I'm becoming limited on the gil I'm getting and spending. I seen/herd of many players already have millions upon millions of gil and each time I ask how they arrived to this, they say they leveled all their gathering and crafting skills. But to this end, in order to get to the point of gathering/crafting and using the MB to its full potential, one must blow millions of gil in the first place (something I do not have).

I am aware there are tons of guides on reddit and elsewhere, this is a question for your styles of arriving to wealth. Different strokes for different folks if you will. I currently am starting my gathering/crafting classes (Finally reached a point with my MNK and WHM where I can divert attention elsewhere) so at least I'm heading in the right direction.
