They've announced the new PvP gear that will come in Heavensward.

They previously removed the requirement of specific rank to wear the ilvl 90 PvP gear, now I'm wondering if they will do the same for the ilvl 100 and 110 pvp gear when Heavensward comes out?

Did they mention anywhere if they will?

They didnt mentioned it yet. Actually, i am not sure how they will handle this. Yes, they did remove the ranks on i90, but nobody cares about i90 because its just random trash geaer wich looks like every other gear you can buy from npcs. You have to concider, that that gear isnt really pvp gear, its vanity gear in first place. What they could do now is either way removing the restrictions, wich would make people under Rank ~32 happy, but plenty of pvp players would get mad (Me too i guess^^) about it, because they got it the "normal" way and they obviously dont want that every random guy runs around with that.

Another solution would be, that they simply add new armor wich just looks like i70 or i90 (=not special) and make it for example i120 and without restrictions. Besides that they would add i130 pvp gear with rank restrictions (Rank 45-50). The restriction on the "old" animal gear would stay. This way they could prevent pvp veterans to get mad and on the other side "new" players could easily catch up with the i120 without getting the animal vanity gear like free candies.

But yea, nobody knows so far so we have to wait until they say something about it.

Hope they don't. There is little to no reward for ranking up besides the high PvP ranks so far so it would make ranking up less enjoying. If they remove it then basically rank 1 - 45+ is a grind with very little reward.

My advice- keep ranking up, you have a couple of months and if they don't lower the requirement, you'll be that much closer if you don't make it. And either way it will put you in closer range to the next tier of PVP gear whatever that looks like.

Also, one question to ask yourself... does one of these two options appeal to you much more than the other:
a) Being the only person in a crowded area who has the gear you have in mind equipped/glamoured
b) Being one of a dozen players in that same area wearing a variant of the gear you desire because it just became attainable to them too at their low PVP rank.

I'm an option a person. Just reglamoured my bard to the i100 set dyed pure black and I look badass.

Ah, I already have the rank 45, but was just wondering!

Awesome, my personal preference would be this- rank requirement stays the same but gear goes on sale the same way that the i100 did when i110 came out. That way as we get to the new ranks required for the new stuff, we can buy some i110 stuff more economically. Like I'd like to swap out some dragoon stuff for the different color scheme on the non-dyable parts, but to me it's not been worth the Wolfmarks it would take to buy the pants just for glamour right now.

Pvp gear was made for wolves den. FL just turned it into vanity lol.
So yea im sure they will take the reqs off for it.

Also with out knowing what new gear is it may not be a big deal. Hoping we get new animals/sets anyways. But with the new maps locked till july I would imagine we won't see any news till close to then.

Just like coil gear, pvp gear should be earned, not given away
