New Player!

Hey guys, I picked up the game a few days ago so I have a few questions.

1) What are the more active/social servers? I'm trying to decide on a server where I could make friends and have people to run DF dungeons/hests with as I level while still being able to complete endgame content. Possible light RP'ing is a plus, I'd like to give rping a shot sometime!

2) Should I be worried about my stat distribution? How much does it affect my endgame viability?

3) What's it like leveling a conjurer? I'm coming from healing in SWToR so I was considering playing one here as well. I was also considering playing dps and rolling the Thaumaturge/Arcanist so I'm curious as to how they fare as well!

1) I'm not sure which one's to suggest for more rp'ing aspect. Sorry.
2) You'll have a primary stat you'll want to invest your attribute points in. If you look at your class traits you'll see the stat you get bonuses for and that will be where you want to invest heavily in.
3) the conjurer is a pretty cool healer. To make the most of your character if you follow up to white mage you'll need arcanist to a minimum of lvl 15 and ideally you'll want to level up thaumartage to around 26 to gain the swiftcast skill. Being a healer will almost get you instant queue pops into dungeons. Each spellcaster brings a different flavor to their execution. Since each benefits from the other I'd suggest experimenting with all 3 and see which feels right for you first.

1. Balmung. If you're in the US, you'll need to try in the small hours of the morning to get in.
2. Classes have a primary stat, MND for healers. Although investing in PIE can increase your MP, this is not recommended unless you fully understand the stat weights and consequences of choosing an alternative distribution.
3. CNJ/WHM is nice. It's the most straightforward, direct healer and gets a good toolkit early on. Scholar, the alternative, is a pet healing class with a number of shields and mitigation abilities (But it is a pain as you're DPS for the first 30 levels, and don't get Leeches until level 40. Esuna, in contrast, is level 18). On either healer, expect to take heat if you don't have swiftcast by the time you hit level 50, as it's essential for battle rezzing.

It might actually be better to get up stupidly early (like 4am ish, assuming you're in the US). Anyways, good luck! If you make it on to the server and need any help getting started, knocking out trials when you get to those, etc, feel free to poke me.
