I think sometime s people forget that if there is not difficulty in game things will get dull.

I am in a similar situation where I have never acquired a mount, but I have seen them drop. As much as I would desire the legendary kirin mount I don't think I believe that the drop rate should be lowered any further at the current time,
Currently though the difficulty in obtaining the mounts seem fair, it's just in future I would worry about it becoming an impossibility to get 8 people to run the EX primals with you that many times to get them all. I do approve of raising the drop rate to make it almost guaranteed to drop every run after a few months into Heavensward just to get some people doing it again so that people who have been unlucky like the above actually have a chance at completing it one day.
But that's not difficulty. That's luck. Pray to RNGeesus for it to drop and pray harder that you win it against 7 others. To ensure that RNGeesus loves you and gives you his praise, sacrifice a virgin femqote.(Good luck finding one)
I understand your frustration, but right now those ponies are the only thing giving the EX primals any replayability at all. All of the gear from every EX primal is obsolete, except for possible cosmetic glamours. Augmented Ironworks is so easy to get there is no reason to farm any of the weapons or accessories from any EX primal, even Shiva.
I'm sure in 3.0 they prob increase the drop rate of the ponies even more, maybe even 100% who knows. And the 2 new primals they are replacing the 7 old ones with are token based from what I've heard. So primal fights will become obsolete and pointless even faster than ever before. I'm sure that will make some players happy, but others miserable lol. There's no way they can please everyone though.

You can always start a Kirin static. Get 7 other players in a ls, each person gets a whistle and then move to the next primal.
I agree with starting an LS for the other 3 Levi, Ramuh, and Shiva. But Old content is hard too motivate especially if its cosmetic, and not progression.
Unfortunatly this does not work in most cases, people are far to selfish, once they get their mount they "lose" interest and ready to move to the primal they need. friend even told me a tell of a person in their FC begging them to help with primal mount farming and told people he will "gladly" help them farm theirs when he is done, what happend when he got all mounts? never set foot in any primals again.
Actually it's a very proficient way of getting all the mounts. While it's unfortunate that your friend of a friend in some fc shirked their responsibility, doing it the static way is going to increase your odds and the speed in which you get mounts. Agree to terms before you begin, if someone loots and leaves then kick from the static and blist.
well its not just that one freind, thier have been many more cases of such acts, and plenty of them across all servers, just because you may think that to work for you most other cases, people simply do not care, not everyone will be lucky to find that rare breed of online players that are willing to stick it out untill everyone gets a cosmetic item.Actually it's a very proficient way of getting all the mounts. My raid static goes pony farming on occasion. We usually go farm one of the ones that most of us have for a few runs, trying to get the last person their pony so that we can stop going to that one altogether. After a few runs if we haven't had any luck, we move on to one where the entire static needs the pony and continue to farm there.
