Losing Faith in SE

First off i love FF games longtime fan and usually i just deal with the issues that pop up.But when is enough enough.I mean its well over a yr and still got no spam filters.The lag on the servers is just sad(excellent connection btw) Almost everything u do is rng based or a god awful grind. I love a challenge but it's not challenging to do the samething over and over till rng gods take pitty on u lol.The Df was a great idea but since it takes ppl from muti servers you see ppl act like total douches to other players and get away with it.If u see bots or ppl using 3rd party programs and report them.They are still there a month later doing the exact samething they got reported for.If u wanna take part in sum of the stuff like housing most ppl can't cuz there just isn't enough to go around or it cost a ungodly amount and that stuff shouldn't be free but everyone should be able to take part in it in sum way.The amount of ppl who complain about being disconnected on a regular bases is unreal and most defend SE and say ooo well ur connection must suck.No way that many connection are that bad i think the hardware being used is out dated and SE is just riding that train till they are forced to upgrade.Its just very frustrating to see a company that for a very longtime cared more about their fans then anything else is now on the lets milk this for everything we can train and i know a company has to make money/profit.But u know what they aren't gonna make no money/profit with out the fan base.

I haven't lost faith, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. Like, I am relatively new the community. So I am the representation of this game's growth & future. During my trial period I almost quit over the RMT spam because it shows a lack of community moderation & professionalism. I have played nearly a dozen MMO's & NONE of them have had this poor of moderation. While I am very grateful I stuck it out as the game itself is incredible but...I am growing very very tired of being constantly harassed & unable to socialize with players I come across in the world. You have entire servers where players cannot communicate with one another because of all the RMT harassment & everyone being /busy because other than downloading 3rd party mods that is the only way to shield oneself from the harassment.

If they're tells try /busy, or manually Blacklist each one of them.
It'll stop being a problem after a while.

Could also be related to your computer's specs and/or your character/system configuration.
Experiment.

...Ok I can understand the lag now when all the servers are having problems, but if you have had lag since day one then you have some issues on your end. The game runs flawlessly for me on my ps4

RNG is a necessary evil due to MMO production costs being too high and the gamer mentality of just maxing out all game content and moving on to the next MMO. Without a means to slow content down, FFXIV's production would have bankrupted SE.

FFXIV is cram packed full of content too but every player has their own goals in the game and people tend to look for the fastest way to achieve their goals, once they're out of goals the game feels meaningless to them and they move on. SE faces these challenges and if they aren't careful they will sink like the titanic under the monumental costs of upkeeping this game.

I hate RNG with a passion but what else can a game developer do to keep afloat? With that in mind I grit my teeth and just keep myself occupied doing various aspects of game content as to not burn myself out on one thing and I find the game more enjoyable as such.

The only thing that's been bothering me has been the gil spammer tells that have been noticeably increasing in volume every single day. Sure, /busy is a quick fix, but you can't receive tells from actual people that way either. It's a big problem that needs to be remedied asap, and in my opinion before anything else is addressed.

I seen lot of people had this problem but I never like ever got it myself , maybe cuz I'm in Tonberry? maybe someone had this problem too in tonberry but I never.

but I agree with spam filters so I don't have to see my friends spam macro and say " Rise my minions !!! " for 20 time like a lunatic when he resurrect someone

Sorry shoulda been more clear i myself don't have issues playing the game get sum lag here and there like everyone does and anyone that says they never get lag spikes well thats just not true.I'm talking about when your doing runs and ppl are 90king or lagging out.Yes i will admit sum have connection issues but not all of them thats why i think sum hardware needs to be upgraded.(made my point tho 3 post in and has to be the players end) ^.-

The RMT issue is legit though. On Balmung it's not as bad since it's so hard to create new characters, but I have an alt on Jenova I have to set to busy while I'm playing or I get 10 RMT tells in the span of five minutes.
