<Mahou> is a Free Company made up of current-and-former US Top 40 World of Warcraft raiders who are looking to clear FFXIV content on as light a schedule as possible. While most of us have been playing off-and-on since launch, Coil has generally not been a pressing concern for any of us (though almost all of us have at least cleared Turn 5). With the release of Heavensward imminent, we'd like to re-focus a little and build a solid raid team that will allow us to clear content on an ultra-light schedule up to and into 3.0.
To that end, we're recruiting one tank for a static party, with the goal of clearing as much of current content as is possible prior to the expansion's release. The focus will primarily be on Second Coil and Final Coil, with some detours through the later EX Primals.

Many of us have spent our MMO raiding careers in low-hour guilds, and thus we understand that throwing hours at a boss is not always the best way to score a kill, even at the highest difficulty. With this in mind, our official raid hours are limited to only Mondays. Depending on our schedules, there will be times where we will be open to adding a second night; if this happens, it will likely occur on Sunday. Do not expect this to be common.

For the moment, this position is until the release of Heavensward, at which point we have a number of players looking to change roles. If you are also looking to change roles, circumstances lead to a continued need for a tank, or you're simply a truly exceptional fit for our team, we can discuss continuing with you in 3.0 content and beyond. We are also fairly flexible as far as your current gear--within reason--as a number of us are just now returning to the game and are playing catch-up.

We do not require you to join the Free Company in order to raid with us. If you continue with us in the expansion, we may revisit this policy, however for the moment you will only be required to join a Linkshell for communication purposes.
Finally, it should be made clear that as a result of our drive to clear content with such a light schedule, there will be high expectations placed on your performance and learning curve. No one is a perfect player, but for our goals to be met we need everyone to have a self-sustaining drive to improve. Anyone who doesn't have that drive will be replaced--this is the only way I can ensure that I'm not wasting the time of my fellow raiders, who all have responsibilities outside of the game.

Oh! Worth adding, while a number of us can be very snarky, misanthropic people, we have a no tolerance policy for racism or sexism. If you engage in this kind of behaviour, you will be removed. To a lesser extent, I personally take a hard-line attitude against anyone who tries to pull down group morale. Don't be that guy.
