Hi I've just hit level 50 and I got there by running fates and leve's now my question is have I made it harder for myself Judgement wise running the main story questlines?
As in will ppl assume from my gear that I know what I am doing in the dungeons or will the extra item lvl gear actually help me with holding agro at the lower lvls?

Just let people know you're new to the duties and that you're willing to accept tips.

If you're talking about pre-50 story-line dungeons, all of the lower level dungeons will lvl sync you to the maximum level for the dungeon. This will also sync your gear to white quality for that level (I believe).

And as a tank, once you know how to hold agro, you know how to hold agro for any group of mobs. But you're going to run into problems if you don't know specific boss mechanics, they are as important if not more, than just keeping the boss off your munchable teammates.

When in doubt, speak up. Tell your teammates that you don't really know the mechanics of the dungeons and boss fights, chances are you'll get someone who will explain it to you.

I will just say... you made the game hard on yourself. MSQ levels you to 50 very, very easily.

The pre-50 storyline quests give decent exp, I'd consider levelling another class (like a dps or some such so that you don't have to lead) and capitalizing on it. Just my 2 cents.

And some important thing: Finishing the main story quest up to Ultima is required to unlock everything after level 50
