    FFXIV running slow

I am sorry if this is supposed to be posted elsewhere. Please point me in the correct direction if so.

First, I have a fairly new computer that I purchased in the last year. Its on Windows 8, 64-bit which I hate. It is an HP Pavilion 400-224 with 1T HD, 6G RAM, with only 3.36 for available Virtual Memory.. Could that effect the game speed? I have an AMD A4-5000 APU with Radeo HD Graphics 1.5 GHz processor. I am not sure what other information someone might need to help me.

My husband plays on PS3 without any problems. However, no matter what character I have, tall, short, etc... I am always slow.. In fact, it seems to lag a little.. I was really excited to finally get a chocobo because I was going to be able to move faster. However, my husband can walk faster than my chocobo can run. I am a healer and when I am trying to click on players to heal them, or on enemies or whatever... Sometimes I have to click NUMEROUS times.. I think this is because of the lag.. Also, when i first load the game, when I teleport somewhere... any loading at all takes forever.. Its really starting to drive me crazy and would really appreciate some help..

    Thanks in advance..

New doesn't mean it will run games well. The spec you have is a budget build. Really cheap spec low end.
If you paid $1000 for it. It's a ripoff. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture), premade computer by company and sell it at least 1.5-2x than the price you can build one yourself.

AMD A4-5000 APU with Radeo HD Graphics 1.5 GHz processor is really low.

I have few computers here which is almost 4 years old and it can run most games really well 60fps+ ($1000-$1500 back in the days) build by yourself. What I am saying, (new and old computer is irrelevant if it can run games or not. It's all depends on the hardwares)

There isn't much you can do about it. You're experiencing high input lag and stuttering while your CPU is struggling to keep framerate and inputs.
