Yes lets keep this one alive we need to hear from them about this asap.
Suggestions for field delivery:
Retainers. You send your retainer out to deliver the package to the recipient. During their travel time they would be unavailable.
Mail Outpost. At each camp there would be a mailbox. Chocobo carriages would be sent out and deliver mail at a set time each in-game day.
Air Drop. Airships flying overhead could drop packages off the side for adventurers on the ground.
Goblin Drop. Similar to air drop except a goblin jumps off the edge of the ship with a parachute.
Obviously these should have an incredibly high delivery cost though, so that people wouldn't use it for just anything.
bump, supported +1
Thank you, I'm happy to see others interested in this^
I've been waiting and waiting for some sort of delivary/mailbox system even before the dev team changed XD
IMO it doesn't matter how much content you add to the game, the more shiny gear they add the more they need a mail system... With out one i have to take the risk of trusting a stranger not to run off with my items, or wait till a friend is not busy in some dungeon....
If you can't send your shiny new items, or the mats to work on them, what do more shiny things get us. This is like trying to run an economy without parcel transport. Its a basic unit to interaction.
I agree with the OP. I, myself, have been asking for a sort of "moogle mail/ chocobo delivery service" of some sort since day 1, and I know a lot of other people have also.
1) It would make transferring my items from one character to another much, much easier.
2) It would also make transferring and shipping items to other players ahead of time much, much easier. Someone could sign on, wake up, finishing doing whatever they're doing, go check there mail and have that awesome armor set or weapon they've been wanting.
If players could get items/gil mailed to them or whatever rather than waiting for another player to be literally right there, right at that moment, standing next of them to do all this stuff, that would immensely improve the social/city going aspect of the game's economy and play style.
