Mail system!!!

Reason I asked is because there was a mail type system in xi where you could send a message to people who were not currently online. The delivery box was more for storage/item transfer.

Just like the title states....insinuates*... Does anyone else think a Mail system needs to be implemented ASAP...

well, to me, a mail system is more than just a light 'item transfer'; it can be the key point to productive progression amongst colleagues. i think it is important, as well. especially for doh/l's that would like to advance with their friends help.

I see... you are correct, the Mail system for messaging was a feature of Playonline, and Item based mail was from the delivery box... In other games the mail system has allowed me to keep in contact with friends that have logged off or send items to them if im unable to get to them... I believe it is a system that is needed for a MMO to survive... I can see not adding chocobo's at the start would help ppl "Explore" but not adding a mail system is just odd... Even if it was there to force ppl to meet face to face its very time consuming and difficult to move items between ppl

with consideration to the Letters from the Producer and how minute some of the notes are for future developments, probably not for a while

Would love to see a delivery and mail/message system implemented very soon, the current lack of such a system atm is realy dragging the game down a few points.
