Blacklist the repeated shouts to buy gill; you can just right click on the name and choose “Blacklist”.


Now play normally, just remember in some cut scenes the tells will sill leak through.

Or just create a character on Phoenix, where we don't get any gil seller spam beyond a /tell every few days. Seriously, I don't know why but the problems some players have with spam are isolated to only a few servers. Some of them are completely free of it for the most part.

I'd wager that most RMT you see on your blacklist are banned. They don't delete the characters on the accounts, so they're not removed from your blacklist. Whenever a ban wave cones out, it's pretty safe to clear out your blacklist.
