You have to know the story up to that point and after the fight everything is explained to you. That was to me a major reward for beating final coil. Was extremely rewarding unlocking that cutscene and getting the story of what happened.
It's not so different than anyone who didn't play 1.0. They would have absolutely no idea who this guy is other than a very short winded discourse between the twins.
It was a great reward, I agree. But it can't be locked behind difficult encounters forever. There are many who will never set foot in t12 and otherwise have no way of knowing the story. With an expansion on the way, it's time to let everyone in on the fun. And if that means releasing the video rather than nerfing the fight, I'm okay with that!
