Well you did a good job on making yourself sound arrogant and silly on this one.

I mean hell, fotm isn't even a thing on this game because they balance the classes well enough to where class balancing doesn't happen or NEED to happen every damn month like in certain un-named MMOs.

My terminology was wrong but my point was that people will use parsers to simply exclude classes they don't feel do enough, there are people who dislike SMN, DRG etc saying they don't do enough damage. This would only give these types more fuel to the fire. And yes, people abusing parsers would be using the strongest classes they can simply to justify their misuse of the tool and to belittle or exclude people who play certain classes. Majority of players doing FCoB use a parser already anyways... Won't change a thing. SMN is too weak, but DRG is balanced. Even though SMN is weak, there are plenty of SMNs that have gotten raids groups, and they are all using parsers, so it that wouldn't change.

It's important that players get at least decent DPS, because you need it in the harder raids. If you're outside of raids, who cares, but we are talking about FCoB now...

Everyone being over-geared right now, helps a lot with DPS, but you still have to do good DPS to beat the encounters.

It's not like dungeons, crystal tower etc.. you won't beat it if you don't get up to those numbers needed

Parsers don't exclude people by class, they exclude them by the individuals skill in that class. All the melee classes are pretty much on par now DPS wise, ninja just gets taken more for TA/Goad, monk is taken more during progression due to dragon kick/mantra, dragoons are fantastic when you have it on farm as they still do amazing DPS and also boost the bards DPS so if dragon kick isn't needed a dragoon is great.

As for summoner and blackmage, before the summoner buff it was indeed a bit of an issue with DPS, but it was because the mana issues were horrific for summoner, but that's been corrected for the most part and a summoner is perfectly viable and also has the added benefit of a res.

If anyone took an average blackmage over a skilled summoner they would be absolutely retarded.

These class choices aren't due to parsing, they are because of the certain skills the classes bring to the party, as well as that players capability to maximize the DPS on that class.
