If they do this then that means they will not be allowed to use any of these Jobs for the actual game. I would prefer that these Jobs be left alone so that there is a possibility to have them implemented as battle Jobs rather then wasting them on fluff.
I think this is a fun idea except for the buffs.
If you start including actual useful-for-combat buffs, it will cease to be a fun side option and become NECESSARY.
But I am all for additional glamour options and emotes.
I must admit, I don't see it happening in this game as it is but I'm intrigued. I wouldn't mind a mmo that actually encouraged role-playing in some way.
Especially encouraging roleplaying as a character who roleplays.
I didn't plan to be angry, but I would like to point out that FFXI had....let's just say....a very unique way to look at FF classes, compared to every other entry in the series.

I need my tradesman's grovel and rub-hands emotes!
I love your ideas!
Fun idea, I bet that a bunch of people out there will max out on "Student" first and of course /noticemesenpai emote has to be mandatory for that category.
Uh huh I see where you going with this and ok sure but how about instead we don't do this and instead toss these ideas to the side so we can have more real game content as in better raids dungeons that aren't just a one way path more open world stuff oh and also better loot that won't get tossed after a few months after we get all that then maybe maybe we can get something like this.
I'm sorry I lied just no to this idea.
Huh, can't believe I missed this thread. I like the idea, but will vehemently oppose it adding extra stats. Leave it as fluff and stuff to do outside of the normal grind, so that people that care about that sort of thing will enjoy themselves while those who don't are not forced to take part in it to be optimal.
Except XI's Dancer was a bit of a mess for almost everything that was not soloing (and even that was a combination of DNC's innate evasion traits, its high ranking with daggers, their native heals that could not be prevented by most mobs and subbing NIN for Utsusemi). Melee healers don't work, so it can't be that. Debuffing is a tertiary element (that happened to be the only reason dancers existed in most console FFs), so it can't be focused on that either. It's one of those few jobs that are legitimately difficult to fit into the game as is.
I'll concede it may be possible. Just not in a way most expect (someone on these forums suggested a variation of NIN mudras/Steps as heals).
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
