


Well actually that gil bidding system could work incredibly well if they design it so the winning bid has that gil split between the players that didn't win the item. It would make for a fairly nice consolation prize for anyone that didn't win...All the new loot systems will be disabled in DF. You'll only be able to do Lootmaster in a premade, and if you don't like that system then you can avoid it entirely.
Most farming parties will probably use Greed Only, both to increase their own chances of getting something and to prevent the trust issues that would prevent someone from joining a Lootmaster party.
The real problem here is the gil-bidding system, since that hugely favours the rich players. But I suppose SE has to put their gilsinks in somewhere...
