I'm a bit disappointed. No words about high level Guildhests.
This sound like what a high scaled FATE can beI don't want an overhaul of the Game like 2.0. I want something big like every FFXI Expansion brought.
Dragons could Attack Ishgard to get Nidhogs Eye back which gives us as long as it lies in Ishard nice little bonuses.
When we loose the Attack the Eye is taken and we loose the bonuses. NPCs get kidnapped and we loose there Service and we have to go to the Dragon Nest and rescue them and get the Eye back
Well.... of course this is a total Besieged Ripoff but so that you get the idea what I want.
A big event everyone can participate in and help.

I didn't get hyped at all after the info or the trailer so yeah.... something (undefined) is missing for me too.

they do have that in ffxiv. its called fates.... also this aint ffxi 2. its a different game.Am I the only one who thinks Heavenward is missing some big reveal?
It feels like 2.0 all over again only with Dragons.
Don't get me wrong. I'm excited to continue the Story and try the new Jobs and Areas.
But coming from FFXI I miss some big world Battle Content like Besieged or Campaign where every Player on the Server work together for a common Goal. Something that makes this Expansion special and not some Big Patch with new Dungeons, new Tomestones and new Primalfights (aka Dragonlords)
There is something called "large scale FATEs" on one of the slides. I'm guessing these may be similar to Odin or Behemoth. They might also be similar to the Attack on Highbridge or (Action) the Hive FATE chains.I don't want an overhaul of the Game like 2.0. I want something big like every FFXI Expansion brought.

Hopefully it won't just be a big
We took this this this this and this out oh don't forget these too.
But we added this this this this this and this and also replaced this with this.
I kinda want them to keep it hush hush and let the playerbase find it out similar to how 2.0 content lasted actually longer than 1 month.
If they just post everything on the loadstone/ put a huge content summary then everyone will know what to do thus making the content more easier to finish as if it was " a checklist of stuff to do".
I think the main issue is that, thus far, any talk about "new" battle related content has mostly been nothing more than higher level versions of what we already have (FATEs, Leves, hunts and so forth). I think the only thing being added that is actually new and original is going to be the airship content, but even that is something that will develop gradually over future patches and won't be fully ready from the start.
The Attack on Highbridge (East Than) and Breaching/Clearing/Defending/Keeping the Hive (South Shroud) FATE chains determine the availability of a Merchant who sells a minion depending on whether or not the FATEs were completed. The Poor Maid's (Upper LN) FATE chain was supposed to be another, but it broke.
If these types of FATEs are what they mean by "Large-scale FATEs," then that may be what you are looking for.
