It's an expansion. Not a 1.0 -> 2.0 remake.

The game will likely be 2.0 again but in a different environment with a couple more features here and there. Get used to it as all further expansions will likely be the same.

I don't want an overhaul of the Game like 2.0. I want something big like every FFXI Expansion brought.

Dragons could Attack Ishgard to get Nidhogs Eye back which gives us as long as it lies in Ishard nice little bonuses.
When we loose the Attack the Eye is taken and we loose the bonuses. NPCs get kidnapped and we loose there Service and we have to go to the Dragon Nest and rescue them and get the Eye back

Well.... of course this is a total Besieged Ripoff but so that you get the idea what I want.
A big event everyone can participate in and help.

There is something called "large scale FATEs" on one of the slides. I'm guessing these may be similar to Odin or Behemoth. They might also be similar to the Attack on Highbridge or (Action) the Hive FATE chains.
