Wouldn't expect anything more than 2.0 with dragons (and some tweaks) honestly, that's pretty much usually how it goes in these types of games. Maybe a couple new features and systems but those are probably still 6+ months out.

Relic (which is due for 3.1) wasn't mentioned but will probably be similar to 2.x relic with some tweaks.

I think the airship content is something they have been pitching but it honestly just sounds like treasure maps 2.0.

Just because you've completed all the content in the game you're interested in, doesn't mean you've completed every thing in the game. There's probably a handful of people at best who have completed absolutely everything. If we go by XIVPads since there's no better statisitics available publicly to players, I'm ranked 120 in the achievements out of about 35,000 characters added to that website, that puts me in a very top percentile of players & I still have a tonne of stuff to do.

Completing the content =/= farming everything there is to farm in the game.

I noticed the only people not being bored to death by FFXIV are the ones who are content to repeat ad vitam eternam a tiny scrap of content in order to farm countless items (the funniest thing is most of these items become obsolete after one patch).

Because they're hoping it'll change for the better and not be a stale bag of chips, which is what XIV already is, after over a year of the same content every single update.
Also fun fact, you don't need to be paying to post on the forums, so don't assume everyone who posts is paying.

>_> I've also noticed the people who aren't bored or claim they have "tons of stuff to do", with how painfully easy XIV is, sound like they're either new or those same people who cause unneeded frustration because they won't listen and just cause wipe after wipe after wipe, I'm looking at you people on steps. lol Seeing as how people who do pay attention/play a game normally, have finished most of the content and got bored and then you call out the people who have "tons to do", they pull the "theres tons of achievements to get! You're not done!" Achievements =/= content. They do nothing for you. Pretty much all of them give nothing.
"But I have jobs to get to 50!" Ok? It takes a whole ~3 days to get a job to 50, a week if you only play 5 hours a day.

What it's missing is originality. I mean, sure, more story, more levels, more dungeons, more everything - but at the core? Dragons and derpgoons = MEH.
