yeah cause paying 16bucks a month to get to max level in 1week then be able to log in only twice a week for some other group of players to run a dungeon or raid for me is what the 2011 is all about, ...u guys rock.
Don't do the 30 lev's at that level. The experience at the end scales directly from what level you are and not the tier of leve you are doing. You'll get the same bonus at the end doing a 5 star 20 lev at that level as you would a 5 star 30 at that level. Do 20's till 30-31 then do the 30 leves.Perhaps you could inform me of this awesome strategy for soloing leves on 5 stars then. At 24 rank 30 leves were a pain in the ass even on 1 star and the reward for completion was about 1.5k. I then went to do some rank 20 leves where 3 star was death and 2 stars resulted in a completion bonus of 1-1.5k.
Mages have it much easier doing it, but I've been able to solo it on pretty much every class. All you really need is cure and second wind to survive some of the harder ones, which should take you all of a hour to get.
This is getting silly.
There should be options for different leveling styles.
However; making an MMO centered around solo content is a bad idea. That is why Leves have taken a back seat. I grow tired of people complaining that Leves have become worthless just because you can't get 70k+ off a set every day and a half. I still do them and I manage to obtain around 24k-30k per set.
Should there be other options other than Leves and grinding that will satisfy solo players? Sure, so there are these things called side quests. Sure, there aren't 1000000 of them (yet) but a good number of them get released with every patch it seems. There are also behest, and in the future there are going to be hamlet battles. Who knows what else is coming?
You can sit there and complain all you want that the solo player isn't being focused on, or that grinding is a bore but in the end you have been given other options, and more are coming down the line. The game is essentially being rebuilt, just because what you want is not done RIGHT NOW does not mean that it wont be.
And for people who actually think soloing through an MMO is enjoyable, there is this thing called an RPG...or even Facebook. Don't let the door hit you in the ass.
I'm failing to see how people are equating the lack of desire to camp and kill monsters over and over for hours to wanting to solo through an MMO.
Because questing through an MMO has been proven to be a solo activity for as long as it's been around.
Please tell me how you plan to include multiple people in a bunch of quests that make exp faster than a grind?
Oh, that's right, you want 70k+ exp from all of them right? Lulz
You can have dungeoneering instead of questing as group leveling content.Because questing through an MMO has been proven to be a solo activity for as long as it's been around.

And would it really be so bad for long group quests to award a lot of experience?
Dungeoneering.... Explain this because it sounds like an instanced raid that gives exp... We have that. Both the current dungeons give exp for every mob killed.
Long group quests rewarding exp would be fine, but faster than grinding? I doubt it.
That's the point I am making. There are other options already in game, and there are more coming. Will any of them be as fast as a good old grinding party? I doubt it.
I would consider the amount of time it takes for a long group quest to be completed. Running from place to place, killing mobs to move onto the next part of the quest, talking to various NPC's scattered all over the game world. etc.
It seems that it's not really an issue of options but of effectiveness. If this idea were put in, the complaint would then be that it takes too long to complete for the EXP obtained from it.
We already have people complaining they can't get obscene amounts of exp from Levequests any more. I don't even want to imagine what the complaining would be like if you had to invest time into obtaining EXP from a -long- group quest.
Leveling through instanced raids that award exp sounds good to me.
Why not? No reason exp rewards from quests or raids can't be balanced with grinding.Long group quests rewarding exp would be fine, but faster than grinding? I doubt it.
The First Law of Roegadynics: "A Roegadyn may not injure a Lalafell or, through inaction, allow a Lalafell to come to harm."
I love how scrubs such as yourself seem to get all defensive that if someone doesn't want to sit in a spot with a thumb up their butt they must want EXP fast, in a week, tomorrow, yesterday!Dungeoneering.... Do you even read your replies before you post them? People do not want to stand in 1 spot and kill the same respawn over and over, whether it's the best or worst exp. How hard is it for you to understand that simple point?
P.S. Grouping = more than killing the aforementioned respawning mob in the same spot.
