leves are not quests, they're stealth grind camps. and I want to kill things...just not the same thing for 50 lvls (multiple times over). what I'm saying is, I don't want what we got in FFXI

you start out killing all sorts of new and interesting critters...then you hit the "WALL O' NO-SOLO" at 15 and you go to Valkurm and kill crabs until 20, then you go to Qufim...and kill crabs until 30 then to Khazam and kill, what not crabs!?(but we would if we could cause they were easy) oh..walking radishes...til 40..."lather, rinse, repeat" for every job. Go to the same zone kill low hp/low def, high exp mobs that everyone is waxing nostalgic over being "Challenging party play" but were actually "tank and spank" and everywhere else was a ghost town. granted I quit shortly before the mini expansions but from what I'm hearing while the locations and mobs changed it was the same locked in progression with the actual content of the game sitting by the wayside, and even if you said "ENOUGH!! I shall go forth into ye olde dungeon and beat the evil Necromancer 'til he stops twitchin' so the townes-people may rejoice and shower me with gobs and gobs o' loot"...ah crap I may be lvl 58 but I still need a full party to complete this quest I picked up at lvl 30 because "too weak" at this lvl still means "rapes my face"".

mmoRPG's are slowly marching towards being more like their pen and paper forebears, and to this I say "Hurrah!". To any of you who played D&D on the table top, did your adventures consist of "Gather ye mighty band o' adventurers and travel into yon country side and...kill goblins AND ONLY GOBLINS, we don't want to wipe in a single camp until you go 'DING'!!!"? No of course not, that would be boring, why do we want that in our computer RPGs?
