This will be the last time I post in a thread where the OP resorts to misjudging and demeaning detractors to their proposal. People have different opinions; deal with it. The best supported ideas will make it through. It's a waste of everyone's time by goading trolls into a digital shouting match. The insecurity present in these style of posts only gives evidence of a weak argument. "In before <insert subject here>" has never been effective supporting evidence for anything, ever. Deal with objections as they arise, use the OP to effectively support your own statement and clarify objections in it and how your proposal meets or effectively neutralizes those objections. Dividing people into groups if they disagree with you is unwarranted and only serves to divide the community.
With that being said, adding different mechanics to the grind is not a bad thing, not at all. It provides goal objectives and can potentially get people to think creatively in order to fell an opponent in a more efficient manner. I would promote mechanics and incentives that ask for a more balanced group. Unfortunately, ARC burns are the way to go it seems.
I was in an ARC burn the other day as a MRD and I literally couldn't get a hit in. The mob was dead before I could get in my first swing. I was going nowhere fast so to say, but not only that, I was leeching experience involuntarily. Now if they lifted the 10 rank experience cap that might change things a little. You couldn't down a monster in less than 5 seconds and you'd need to utilize balanced party mechanics in order to defeat your opponent. Raptor burns would still be viable for light parties and for those who still wish to ARC burn, I'm not against that style of play at all, but as I've noticed so far, there's never any incentive to grind in a full party, specifically a balanced one. I'm sure these mechanics are intended taking into account development team interviews and such. Nonetheless, I think the largest hole that needs to be filled in this game is the difficulty:reward ratio. People just aren't aptly rewarded for difficulty or utilizing the game's mechanics as intended. Seeing future patch notes reassures me that they have this in mind and I will welcome the inclusion, but as for now, having more options to gain experience and more incentives to adapt to a dynamically changing battle environment is a feature that is more than welcomed.
