Xp how you wish op, you may prefer a route that takes you triple the time as grinders, that's your choice as it's how you wish to play, most people don't care if they lvl grind, we dont want 70% of our game life exping. You exp to get max lvl to do content, exp is not content and shouldn't take obnoxious amounts of time. Tbh I take more joy in dinging and then going to enjoy the game, not staring at an xp bar for days, weeks monthes until I can be maxed.
That's funny, I remember alot of people, like me who played for 7 years quit during the Astral Burn/Abyssea bullshit. I would still be playing ffxi now if it wasn't Abyssea and exploits like Astral Burns. I remember the most fun I had after Astral Burns hit the scene was hanging out in K.Tunnel waiting for a group to mass pull after about an hour of waiting, then watching them level sync and me Astral Burning there mobs before they hit em. The anger and cries were amusing. Either way I'm happy to see ffxiv taking the party role from ffxi and introducing it here.
