Rare, Very Rare, Ultra Rare Items...

Personally I would love to see some type of system brought into the game that identified items are Rare, Very Rare, or Ultra Rare (perhaps other words could be used) but having these descriptions would be nice to see with gear or other drops the player comes across.

While not a critical need by any means, but I feel an item should be identified more for fun or anything else.

And it would be cool if items themselves would have a color code to them based off how rare they are... This would be displayed in the loot list, inventory list, and in the chat log.

Well, Rare = +1, Very Rare = +2, Ultra Rare = +3?

In practice however, whatever the best gear is (+3, Ultra Rare, Relic, whatever) will be the most common, because people will grind until they get it, and toss the lesser versions.

ppl must stop trying to drive ffxiv to be more like WoW or FFXI or any other MMO ...
this is FFXIV .. it must has its own based ideas

It's not WoW, it's Diablo that started the colour naming scheme.

I would absolutely love the quality of the item shown by the color of the item. It shows new players what the best gear is and what to aim for. Yes I played D2 and WOW but I think it is a good concept.

This is FFXIV, a game where nothing is really rare at all except for +3 gear.
