Single = Person with no current sexual relationships. It's a civil status, and a person can only have one.
Widow = Person whose partner has passed away. It's a civil status, and a person can only have one.
Husband = Partner of the Wife, or of the Widow. In case of "Widow's Husband", the subject is deceased.

So either you are a single who is looking for a Husband to kill to become a Widow.
Or you are a Widow who just cannot remember where she put her Husband's corpse.

Being Widow and Single at the same time is impossible, as Widows have an Husband. He's just dead.

So. *grabs a shovel* Do you remember at least the general location where you buried him?

Source: My mother is a widow. She cannot marry again (and as such, get a living husband) if she doesn't give up the civil status of Widow, because by that, she already legally has one.
