This is often how I see new players treated in FFXIV:

I've only played almost 2 months now and I am really not a fan of how new people are treated in group content. Letting a person die because of something as this petty (the person had full health before boss made him unmovable and there was no predicting whether he/she would be the next target or not so essentially what people tell are telling him/her to do after the fact is to spam a heal on him/herself, and the other healer just let him/her (sorry, I really couldn't tell the gender...) die to "teach him a lesson" I'm guessing. *Eyeroll*) is really ridiculous in my opinion. All the person asked to do was be able to watch a cutscene and still be allowed to participate in the fight... The cut-scene was literally like 20-30 seconds.

The icing on the cake is that the other healer just let that person stay dead, even when the boss fight was over.

I'm on Faerie and I'm actually getting to a point where I'm growing tired of having not many friends and seeing this sort of toxic behavior take place. Trying to add people from forums has proven impossible too as when I go online to try to add people they aren't on, so that's been a huge bust... Guess I either have to continue dealing with this commonality or quit (I guess I have bad luck with groups too and seem to somehow attract groups like this for some reason or another).

Edit: Pic is being wonky, so tdlr, players basically being asswads to new player who wanted to watch a 20-30 second cut-scene in a trial and also be able to do the fight without being locked out, player had to skip cut-scene because people are too impatient, and then when he goes, "really" he/she get's all kinds of crap, and then he/she gave crap back. Everyone was wrong, but I still think older players could not be so... Immature.

Maybe that person could move to a better server or you could move to a better server too ? The only time I might dislike newbies is if they use, "I'm new" as an excuse to not do the best that they can. If a newbie is doing everything they can to play to the best of their ability I see no problem in taking a little bit extra time for them.

Just because you're new doesn't mean that you can have things your way, especially if you're just one person in a party of 8.
Blame Square Enix for foolishly putting cutscenes in the middle of the dungeon and then making them able to be skipped.

Also, side note, 20-30 seconds may not seem like long, but it's tedious to sit there and wait for ONE person.

As far as not res'ing the healer goes, if I'm in a group where the other healer's a liability, either undergeared or underskilled, I also leave him be. Res is such a huge mana sink, if I do it too often, that could put me at risk of running out of mana and the entire party's dead.. In that case, I usually prioritize res'ing the SMN if there is one, and the SMN can subsequently res the other healer if he has enough mana left over. It's nothing personal, just a strategic decision

Why deny a new player their immersion and gaming experience because you're tired of it? Why queue for the lower level content then? I see no justification for denying any noob their immersion or experience in FFXIV, sorry.

Sorry dude, but you're wrong in your justification. If it was made to watch during the dungeon, than you're just going to have to suck it up.
